About

I'm Giovanni — an American living in Takamatsu, Japan. I'm a head teacher, curriculum developer, and class scheduling coordinator at an English language school, and the co-founder of a study abroad consulting agency. I built the AI and automation infrastructure for both, and increasingly I help other businesses do the same — production AI tools instead of demos.

My day-to-day is split between teaching, writing curriculum, and designing the technical systems that make a small business run like a much larger one. Self-hosted local LLMs handle text-to-speech and speech-to-text without API costs. Google Apps Script pipelines manage student records and communications without manual intervention. Custom Electron tools let me batch-process content that would otherwise eat entire afternoons. I built all of it because off-the-shelf solutions either didn't exist or didn't fit the specific shape of the problem.

I work primarily in English and have a working knowledge of Japanese that's improving steadily. Living and working in Japan means I understand the practical realities of operating here, even when the technical problems themselves are universal. If you're trying to integrate AI into a real business workflow — not just prototype something — I'm probably someone who can help.
